We were really surprised at how fast acceptance came around and were waiting for our move in date to arrive. Marilyn had asked for bank statements and at first it was fine that it was just the deposit statements but then that wasnât enough and they wanted more information. Weâve never been asked by any apartments weâve lived in or applied to for whole bank statements and my husband is not ok with giving them all of his purchase transactions, so he crossed them out and left again only the deposits, start and ending balance as requested.
This was still not good enough, even though it had both the start date of the account with the balance and ending balance. Marilyn emailed me to tell me that my husband would now have to go to the bank to get the same information they already had in several different copies. When I asked her why the information she already had wasnât good enough, she said she had already explained why (which she did not), and then declared she was done with us and we could come get our holding deposit and reapply in 6 months.
Maybe an hour later we get a call from the manager letting us know that she would mail the deposit because profanity was used and Marilyn didnât want to see us. She had also been told that we were sending in statements completely blacked out which is also not true, only purchases were blocked out. I never once used profanity and have the emails to prove it. The fact that members of the management staff are lying raises red flags and I honestly wonder what else they do and are willing to lie about. Super disappointing but at least we had a back up residence to move into come Monday. I would avoid this place at all costs if you can.
