If I could put 0 stars, I would. The Heather Estates complex was sold in the Fall of 2022 to a new agency. My husband and I have been living here since February of 2020, and before the property was sold, there were no issues with any of the tenants, management, nor maintenance. Ever since the property was sold over to Security Properties Management company, we have seen a complete down fall in Management. I have called every week the last 5 weeks, requesting maintenance services. I even told the maintenance man face to face in March and nobody has answered/returned my calls whatsoever. The office wonât answer your calls, and maintenance wonât fix any of the residents homes. Lastly, building E has been infested with Cockroaches for an entire year now. It was well taken care of at the start when Avenue 5 was our management company, and we rarely saw any roaches. Ever since October, when the complex was sold, did the roaches become and actual problem and we started seeing tens of them a day because they discontinued our pest control services. It wasnât until the Health Department got involved that they decided to start doing something about it. They only had pest control come and spray less than 10 times. Since March 28, we have not had pest control here, even though I have called 5 times notifying them that the cockroaches are not going away, and also filing a complaint with the management company over a week ago. Nobody will get back to me about anything. The Health department will be getting involved once again. This is unacceptable and unsafe living conditions. My husband and I are beyond ready to leave this trash hole. But we especially feel terrible for all the families here that canât move.
If you are looking to move here. Donât. Do not do it. This place is bottom of the barrel now. You and your family deserve so much better. This is not a family friendly neighborhood. I know that Iâm not the only parent that fears for their childrenâs safety here. Take your money somewhere where you know that your home and family will be taken care of.
